Problems and Solutions
-
Confirm the power switch is in the "on" position.
If you're trying to use battery operation, attempt to power on while using the power cable, ensure it's securely connected.
If it turns on when connected to power, the battery is dead and needs to charge.
If the speaker still does not turn on, contact support at 864-209-1323.
-
Here are both Apple iPhone and Android instructions for connecting your mobile device via bluetooth.
Make sure you are in close proximity (within 10 feet of speaker).
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
Restart both the SnapSound speaker and your device.
If the issue persists, unpair and re-pair the devices. Check for interference from other devices and move closer for a stronger signal.
Should you still have issues, you can perform a hard reset on both speakers. You can do this on each speaker by turning it off, then holding the "voicing modes" and "outdoor mode" buttons simultaneously for approximately five seconds on boot up.
If no success, move to a wired connection for reliability.
-
Ensure that the two speakers are within 10-20 feet of one another.
Make sure that you have pressed the "Link" button on the primary speaker for 5 seconds and then within the next 30 seconds, hit the link button on the secondary speaker.
If you are wanting the speakers to be further apart or still are having issues of dropouts, consider connecting the music using a wired connection to the primary speaker and then use the wireless system to transmit to the secondary speaker.
Remember, the microphone signal is not transmitted through bluetooth but rather through another wireless connection OR a wired connection between the speakers.
Should you still have issues, you can perform a hard reset on both speakers. You can do this on each speaker by turning it off, then holding the "voicing modes" and "outdoor mode" buttons simultaneously for approximately five seconds on boot up.
-
Adjust the volume to avoid overloading the speaker.
Check for any obstructions in front of the speaker.
If using a wired connection, inspect the cable for damage or try a different cable.
-
Ensure the mic (or wireless receiver) is securely connected to the correct input on the SnapSound speaker (Channel 1).
Ensure that the switch on the mic is in the "on" position.
Check if the "mic" button is pressed on the speaker (Channel 1) and the volume of both that channel and the master volume are up.
If using the wireless system:
Confirm that the transmitter and receiver are powered on and you are using a matched pair. The colors on the bottom (back) of the transmitter/receiver should match.
There should be a solid light on each one when they are both connected. If it doesn't stay green, that could mean that the charge level is low.
If the light is yellow, the wireless unit is muted. Simply press the button one time to turn it from yellow to green.
Confirm you are within a close proximity to the speaker system.
Should you continue to have issues - connect the microphone directly to the speaker or refer to the instruction manual.
-
Adjust volume to find the optimal level without feedback. Ensure the microphone is not too close to the speaker.
Activate the feedback eliminator on the SnapSound speaker.
-
Check if the aux cord is securely connected to the CH 2 aux input.
Adjust the volume using the knob above CH 2.
Confirm that the master volume is up.
-
Confirm that the master volume on both speakers is set to the same level. (start at noon or "U")
If using the wireless transmitter/receiver make sure that it is plugged into CH 2 of the secondary speaker and set to "noon".
